My dad used to joke that I was so naturally drawn to the camera that I took my own baby pictures. Most of my mother’s side of the family are artists and art teachers, and my father was a professional photographer for over 20 years, so I guess you could say photography runs in the blood.
I have been shooting weddings professionally for three years, and take great pride in recording, not creating the action around me. For me, photographing weddings allows me to tastefully combine photojournalism with art, creating a final masterpiece that forever captures the essence of all the laugher, tears, joy, and tenderness of such a special day.
Professionally, I am an accredited member of the National Press Photographers Association. In 2006, I completed a summer program in London, England studying Fashion Photography. I graduated from Ohio Northern University in Feb. '07 with a degree in International Business & Economics, and during my time there served as the photo editor and photographer for both the weekly student newspaper and yearbook.
